Join us for a field day at the Albert J. Sousa Preserve, part of the Sebasticook Valley Land Trust (SVLT) properties. The preserve is in Burnham (Waldo County).
More information about the land trust and directions can be found on their web page at https://www.sebasticookrlt.org/albert-j-sousa-preserve. There is limited roadside parking, and no restroom facilities or even established trails (yet). However, they have frontage on 25-Mile Stream as well as the Sebasticook River, with associated still-water wetlands, an abandoned railway line (and bridge), open meadows, and closed-canopy forest.
Please let us know if you are coming. The coordinator is Bob Nelson. Please e-mail Bob (beetlebob2003@gmail.com) if you plan to attend.
